What is Croux?
Croux is a mobile app that connects hospitality talent with flexible shift work at local restaurants, hotels, event venues, and more. Think of it as a marketplace where you can find and pick up shifts that fit your schedule.
How does it work?
- Sign up — Download the app and create your account. You'll need a valid phone number (required for all signup methods, including Google and Apple sign-in) and a government-issued ID for identity verification.
- Complete onboarding — Build out your profile, set your skills, and complete a quick background check. You may also get a call from TARA, our AI assistant, who helps match you to shifts that fit your experience. The more complete your Profile Score, the more shifts you'll see.
- Browse shifts — Filter by pay, date, time, and location to find work that fits your schedule
- Apply — Submit your application for shifts you're interested in
- Get matched — Croux matches talent to shifts by the positions you carry, your experience, and your ratings, and confirms you onto the shift — often within seconds of a business posting it. You'll be notified and the shift shows up in your app. Businesses can also ask for people they have worked with before.
- Work the shift — Show up, clock in with the app, do great work, clock out
- Get paid — Rate the shift, the business approves your time, and your pay is released to your Stripe balance about 24 hours after the shift's scheduled end. Your first payout also carries a one-time background check fee.
Bartending shifts work differently. They are selected rather than matched — by the venue or by Croux — so there is no automatic confirmation step on a bar shift. Your experience, your ratings and the venues who have favorited you still shape who gets picked.

Is Croux free to use?
Yes! There's no sign-up fee or cost to use the app. You keep what you earn (minus a small deduction for occupational accident insurance).

- Upload a valid government-issued ID through Stripe Identity
- Set up payment through Stripe
