Clear arrival instructions help workers show up on time and ready to work. Here is how to make sure your talent knows exactly where to go.
Adding Instructions to Your Shift
When creating or editing a shift, you can add detailed instructions in the Special Instructions field. This is the best place to include:
- Parking location - Where should they park? Is there a specific lot or street?
- Parking validation - Will you validate? Do they need to bring their ticket inside?
- Entry point - Which door should they use? Is there a specific entrance for staff?
- Check-in process - Who should they ask for when they arrive?
- Dress code reminders - Any specific uniform requirements for your venue

Example Instructions
Here is a good example of clear arrival instructions:
Park in the employee lot behind the building (enter from Oak Street). Use the back entrance marked Staff Only and check in with the manager on duty at the host stand. Arrive in all-black uniform ready to work.
Why This Matters
- Reduces late arrivals - Workers who know exactly where to go arrive on time
- Better first impressions - No confusion means workers start their shift focused
- Fewer support requests - Clear instructions prevent last-minute calls and messages
Updating Instructions for Existing Shifts
- Open your shift in the Croux app
- Tap Edit Shift
- Scroll to Special Instructions
- Add or update your parking and arrival details
- Save your changes
Workers who have already been hired will be notified of the update.
Pro Tips
- Be specific about parking costs - If workers need to pay for parking, let them know upfront
- Include a contact number - A phone number for the day-of manager helps if workers get lost
- Mention landmarks - If your entrance is hard to find, reference nearby landmarks
- Update seasonally - If parking or entry points change for events, update your instructions
