Need to make changes to a shift you've already posted? Here's how.
Heads Up: Shifts Lock 24 Hours Before Start
Shift templates lock 24 hours before the shift start time. Once a shift is inside that 24-hour window, it can no longer be edited. If you need to make changes within 24 hours of the start time, post a new shift instead.
What You Can Edit
More than 24 hours before the shift starts, you can edit:
- Shift times (start/end)
- Hourly rate
- Number of workers needed
- Note to Talent / Additional Context (details specific to this shift)
- Dress code requirements
What You Can't Edit
The shift description comes from the role template and can't be changed once a shift is posted. To share extra details or special instructions, add them to the Note to Talent field (called Additional Context on the web app) instead.
If the template description itself needs updating, contact Croux and our team can adjust the underlying template language.
How to Edit a Shift (Web App)
On a computer at app.croux.co, you can edit any shift that starts more than 24 hours out.
Step 1: Open the shift. On the Shifts calendar, pick the date, then click the shift you want to edit.
Step 2: Open Shift Details and click Edit. In the panel that opens, select the Shift Details tab, then click Edit.
Step 3: Make your changes and save. Update the fields you need, then click Save Changes. The Shift Description is locked because it's set by the role; to add anything specific to this shift, use the Additional Context field.
On the Mobile App
In the Croux app, open the shift, tap the Edit (pencil) icon, make your changes, and tap Save. The field for shift-specific details is called Note to Talent in the app (the same as Additional Context on the web app).
Editing After Workers Are Hired
You can edit shifts even after talent has been hired (as long as you're more than 24 hours from the start time). When you save changes:
- All hired workers are automatically notified of the updated details
- Time changes: Significant time changes may allow hired workers to cancel without penalty
- Rate increases: Hired workers will receive the new, higher rate
