What is a Certificate of Insurance (COI)?
A Certificate of Insurance (COI) is a document from your insurance provider that shows your business carries adequate coverage. To fill bartending shifts through Croux, we need a current COI on file that lists Croux Inc. as an additional insured on your policy.
When do I need to provide a COI?
A COI is required any time your business posts a bartending shift on Croux. This applies if:
- You are posting your first bartending shift
- You have not provided a COI before
- Your COI on file has expired
A COI is not required for non-bartending shifts such as dishwashing, general labor, or event staffing.
What exactly do I need?
A COI from your insurance provider that names Croux Inc. as an additional insured on your policy. Your provider may ask for our details:
Croux Inc.
1500 1st Avenue North
Birmingham, AL 35203
business@croux.co
How do I request one?
Contact your insurance provider and ask them to issue a COI naming Croux Inc. as an additional insured. A few things to know:
- There is no charge for this from your insurer.
- It does not affect your coverage or your rates.
- Most providers can issue one within 1 to 2 business days.
How do I upload my COI to Croux?
- Log in to the Croux web app at app.croux.co.
- Open Documents from the menu.
- Click the + button to add a new document.
- Upload your COI file. The app confirms everything from there.
