Five steps. Five minutes. That is the whole learning curve.
Concierge lives in the Croux web app. Sign in at croux.co on a computer or tablet browser to use it. The mobile app does not include Concierge.
Concierge is built into your Croux dashboard and opens on its own. Nothing to install, no settings to hunt for. You type what you need the way you would say it out loud, it does the work, and it waits for your go-ahead before anything counts.
Each step below takes one message and has a short video. Run them in order your first week and you will have staffed a full week by Friday.
This article is about using Concierge — what to type and what it does with it. If you want to know how a shift actually gets staffed once you post it, and which inputs steer who you are sent, read How Concierge Fills Your Shifts alongside this one.
Three things, then you are off
1Post a whole week in one message
Normally this is one form per shift. Instead, write your needs the way you would jot them on a legal pad and let Concierge turn the list into shifts.
| Shift and Enter between lines | ↑ |
| Rooms | 8 daily | 8 AM–3 PM |
| Banquet | 20 Sat | 4–11 PM |
| Breakfast | 2 daily | 6–11 AM |
| Dinner | 4 daily | 4–10 PM |
2Drop in a BEO, get a staffing plan
For event venues, this is the one that earns its keep. Attach the event order and your own schedule, say how you staff a room, and Concierge works out exactly what you are short.
| Attach the event order as it is, no retyping | ↑ |
| Servers | 6 in-house | need 12 |
| Bartenders | 1 in-house | need 3 |
| Coat check | 0 in-house | need 2 |
3Rate the whole shift in one breath
Most venues skip this one. It is also the one that decides who you get next time. Say how the night went, and Concierge fills in the scorecard for you to check.
| Ask Concierge, type the at sign to mention talent or a shift | ↑ |

4Build your bench
This is how you stop starting from scratch. Concierge reaches for your favorites first, so every good night you record makes the next shift easier to fill.
| Ask Concierge, type the at sign to mention talent or a shift | ↑ |
5Just ask for the numbers
No report builder, no filters. Ask the question you would ask your controller, and throw in the number you are measuring against if you want it scored for you.
| Ask for a range, a role or a single event | ↑ |
| Labor spend$26,434of $28,000 | Under$1,5665.6% under | Filled147/1491,088.5 hrs |
| Banquet server | 58 shifts | $10,440 |
| Room attendant | 42 shifts | $6,468 |
| Line cook | 21 shifts | $4,998 |
| Bartender | 14 shifts | $2,548 |
| Dishwasher | 12 shifts | $1,980 |
When Concierge asks first, and when it just does it
Concierge does not treat every request the same way, and it is worth knowing which is which before you type. Anything that costs money or affects a person waits for you.
| You ask for | What Concierge does | Your move |
|---|---|---|
| Shifts posted | Drafts and holds them. Nothing is visible to talent yet. | Review, then publish |
| An event order staffed | Reads it, compares it to your schedule, drafts the gap. | Review, then publish |
| Talent rated | Fills in the scorecard from your words. Does not send it. | Check each one, then submit |
| A favorite added | Does it immediately. | Say so to undo it |
| A report | Does it immediately. Nothing changes, it only reads. | Nothing |
Two more things worth your time
Changing your mind has a deadline
Plans move and the platform expects it. If you remove someone from a shift more than 24 hours before it starts, there is no fee and Concierge begins matching a replacement straight away.
Within 24 hours of the start time, a late cancellation fee applies. The fee is the lesser of half the shift's value or four hours at the rate you posted. The full terms are at https://croux.co/terms.
Tell it why, not just what
Removing someone and removing someone because they were late twice do the same thing to your shift today. Only the second one improves who you are sent next month.
The same is true of praise. Saying that you want someone back every banquet is worth more than a rating on its own, because Concierge can act on it.
If it misreads you
Just tell it what you actually meant. It keeps the thread, so you correct it in the same conversation instead of starting over. Anything it cannot settle, email support@croux.co and a person picks it up.
