Labels are how you tell us who your best people are. You give a person a label once, and from then on Croux knows to reach for them first when you post work.
What a label is
A label is a name and a color that you create, in your own words. Some accounts use role names like BOH, FOH or Server. Others use their own shorthand, like A-Team or Rockstar. There is no fixed list to learn and nothing to set up before you start.
Labels belong to your account alone. Another business cannot see them, and talent never see the labels you give them.
Where to find labels
On the web, select Labels in the left-hand menu. In the Croux app, tap More, then Manage Labels under Business.
Create a label
On that screen, choose Create New Label. Give it a name, pick a color, and save. The screen lists every label you have and how many people currently carry it.
You can rename a label or change its color at any time with the pencil, and remove one you no longer use with the trash icon.
Add labels to your talent
Labels go on the people in your favorites list. That list is called My Croux on the web and Favorite Talent in the app. Open it, find the person, and choose the pencil next to their name. Under Labels, choose Add Label and pick one, or type a new name to create one on the spot.
One person can carry as many labels as you need. Someone might be both FOH and A-Team. Once people are labeled, you can filter that list by any label to see the group on its own.
The same screen holds Business Notes. Those notes are private to your business, and talent never see them.
Use labels when you post a shift
When you post a shift, go to Labels and add the label you want that shift to go to.
Adding a label to a shift does two things:

Your shift templates carry labels too. If you post the same kind of shift often, set the labels on the template once instead of choosing them every time.
One exception: bartending
Concierge does not fill bartending shifts automatically. Bartending carries a level of skill that is not interchangeable with the rest of a floor, so those shifts are selected rather than matched — by you, or by us on your behalf.
Your labels still count on a bar shift. They shape who we reach for, alongside your favorites, Do Not Hire list and experience minimum. The step that does not run is the automatic confirm.
Getting the most out of labels
- Start with the handful of people you always want back. A short, accurate list is worth more than a complete one.
- Use names your team already says out loud. Labels are yours, so they should read like your operation, not ours.
- Add a label the moment someone impresses you on a shift, while it is fresh.
- Keep them current. Removing a label is as useful as adding one.
