You still decide who works your events. Concierge changed how your shifts get staffed, not who gets to say yes. This article covers what stays yours, how staffing actually works now, and the handful of things you can do to get the most out of it.
Concierge lives in the Croux web app. Sign in at app.croux.co/login on a computer or tablet browser. The mobile app does not include Concierge.
What stays yours
Start here, because it is the question every venue asks first.
Nothing about how you run your roster changes. Once a shift is staffed you see who is coming, and when you want a change you make it directly.
What came off your plate is not your say over who works your events. It is the queue you used to work through to exercise it β opening every application, comparing names you had never seen, and doing it again for the next shift.
Full steps are in How to Remove Hired Talent from a Shift, and the fee itself is in Late Cancellation Fee Policy.
How it works
You tell your Concierge how you want your shifts staffed, and that is how they get staffed. Rather than working through applicants on every posting, you tell it once what good looks like at your venue, and it applies that every time you post.
When a shift goes up, Concierge:
- Narrows to Croux who carry that position and meet the experience minimum you set.
- Reaches for your favorites first, then the people who have worked well for you before, weighing your Do Not Hire list, ratings, Trust Score and availability.
- Confirms them onto the shift, usually within seconds of posting, and notifies you and the talent.
Speed is most of the value, and it is not about saving you clicks. The people you want are the people every venue wants, and they go fast. Every hour a posting sits open waiting on a review is an hour someone else can book them. Talent now hear back immediately instead of waiting on a review, so the people you like are far more likely to still be available when your shift comes up.

One exception: bartending
Concierge does not fill bartending shifts automatically. Bartending carries a level of skill that is not interchangeable with the rest of a floor, so those shifts are selected rather than matched β by you, or by us on your behalf.
Everything else on this page still applies to them. Your favorites, Do Not Hire list, ratings and experience minimum all still shape who we reach for on a bar shift.
What you can do to get the most out of it
The venues getting the most out of Concierge treat it like a new team member who needs to learn the building. It gets better the more it knows. None of these take long β ten minutes this week, and every shift you post from here on benefits.
- Favorite the people you want back. Tap the heart on anyone who has worked for you, and Concierge reaches for them first, every time. One good night, recorded once, and every shift after that gets easier to fill. See What Is My Croux and How Does It Work?.
- Add anyone you do not want returning to Do Not Hire. Open their profile and tap Do Not Hire. You can do it any time, not just while you are rating a shift, and it stays until you reverse it. This is the list most venues have in their head and nowhere else. See Managing Who Works Your Shift.
- Say who is strong where. Not everyone is right for every situation. A solid banquet server might be great on buffets but not on plated dinners. Tell Concierge which of your people fit which roles, or which kinds of events, and it matches to the shift, not just the venue.
- Rate your team after every shift. Ratings are the fastest signal you can give it, and they feed straight back into who it reaches for next time.
How other venues are running it
Four patterns we see most often across hotels, clubs and convening centers. Most operations land on some mix of them within a couple of weeks.
What the data shows
The clearest signal is not speed. It is that operators leave these hires alone β more often than they leave their own picks alone. Croux platform data, 2026 year to date.
| Measure | Concierge | Picked manually |
|---|---|---|
| Hires who were already one of your favorites | 77.2% | 59.3% |
| Hires the venue later removed | 0.02% | 0.09% |
| No-show rate | 1.43% | 1.91% |
Venues remove a Concierge hire roughly four and a half times less often than they remove someone they picked themselves.

Rather not set it up yourself?
If it is faster to tell us, do that. Email who you want back, who you do not, and who is strong where, in whatever form it is already in. A list typed into an email is completely fine β our account team will set it up on your account and confirm when it is done. Write to business@croux.co.
