If plans change or someone can no longer make it, you can remove them from the shift directly in the app.
Concierge lives in the Croux web app. Sign in at croux.co on a computer or tablet browser to use it. The mobile app does not include Concierge.
How to remove someone
- Open the shift from your dashboard
- View hired talent for that shift
- Select the talent you want to remove
- Choose Remove
- Pick a quick reason (for example Overstaffed or plans changed, Needed on a different shift, Talent asked to be removed). The reason stays internal; the talent does not see it.
- Add any context for our team if you want to, then choose Remove to confirm
What happens next
- They are immediately removed from the shift
- They receive an automatic notification that they have been removed
- The open spot is immediately available again, and Concierge begins matching a replacement
- Need fewer people? Lower the shift’s Number of People (Edit Shift → Shift essentials) so the spot is not refilled
Late removal fee
If you remove someone within 24 hours of the shift start time, a Late Cancellation Fee applies. You will see the fee amount in the confirmation screen before you confirm the removal.
Per the Croux Terms of Use, the fee is the lesser of half the total shift cost or 4 hours' pay. This fee helps compensate talent for the short-notice change. See Late Cancellation Fee Policy for the full policy.
Removing someone more than 24 hours before the shift starts incurs no fee.
When to remove vs. when to let talent cancel
| Scenario | Best action |
|---|---|
| They tell you they can't make it | Ask them to cancel from their end (no fee to you) |
| They are unresponsive or have not confirmed | Remove them and let the spot refill |
| You no longer need as many people | Remove the extras with the reason Overstaffed or plans changed, then lower the shift’s Number of People (plan ahead to avoid fees) |
| Performance concerns from a previous shift | Remove them and consider adding to Do Not Hire |
Tips
- Plan ahead — Make staffing changes more than 24 hours before the shift to avoid fees
- Tell Concierge why — if you removed someone for performance, say so and they will not be matched to your shifts again
- Build your My Croux list — Have reliable backups ready for quick replacement
