Every Croux talent is automatically covered by Occupational Accident Insurance (OAI) while working shifts through the platform. This article explains what that coverage is, what the $0.50/hour deduction pays for, and what to do if you are ever injured on a shift.
What OAI is
OAI is accident coverage that protects you while you are performing shifts through Croux. Coverage is automatic for all talent. You do not need to enroll, and it applies on every shift, at every business, in every market.

How the $0.50/hour deduction works
To fund this coverage, Croux deducts $0.50 from your pay for each hour or partial hour worked. Partial hours round up to the next full hour, so the deduction is always a clean amount ending in .00 or .50.

If you are injured on a shift
- Get safe and get care first. Never work through an injury.
- Tell the on-site manager right away so the business knows what happened.
- Contact Croux support the same day, through the app or by replying to any Croux email. We log every reported incident and will walk you through your coverage.
OAI claims start with a message to us. When you report an injury, contact us right away and we will start the claim process and guide you through each step. Notice of an injury should be given within 20 days of the incident, or as soon as reasonably possible, so please do not wait to reach out.
