If we have made a change to your account and the app still shows the old version, or keeps sending you back to the same screen no matter what you do, this article is for you.
Why it happens
The Croux app keeps a copy of your account setup on your phone so it loads quickly. When our team updates something on our end, your phone can keep using that saved copy instead of pulling the corrected one. The result is a screen that will not move forward, even though the problem is already fixed.
Force-closing the app is usually not enough
Closing the app and reopening it often reuses the same saved copy. To clear it, you need to sign out completely and sign back in.
- Open the Croux app and go to your profile menu
- Tap Log Out to sign out of your account fully
- Close the app completely
- Reopen it and log back in
Signing all the way out is what clears the old setup off your phone. When you log back in, the app pulls down the current version of your account and the screens should carry you forward normally.
When to use this
Try a full sign-out and sign-in any time:
- Support told you something was fixed but the app still shows the old behavior
- A verification or setup step keeps looping you back to the same screen
- Your account details look out of date in the app after you updated them
If it still loops
If you have signed out and back in and the same screen still stops you, that is on our side and not something you can fix from the app. Reply on your support ticket and tell us you have already done a full sign-out. That tells us to look deeper instead of asking you to try it again.
