It happens. Your phone dies, the app will not cooperate, or you walk out and realize an hour later that you never hit clock out. Here is what happens next and what you should do.
Your hours still process
Missing a clock out does not mean you go unpaid. If no clock out is recorded, your hours process at your shift's scheduled end time once the review window closes.
Common clock-out problems
- Accidentally clocked out during a break
- Phone died or broke during your shift
- App would not let you clock out
- Wrong clock-out time was recorded
The fastest fix: handle it on site
Before you leave the venue, tell the manager or supervisor what happened. The business reviews and validates the hours on your timesheet after every shift, and they can correct your time during that review. This is by far the quickest path, because it gets fixed before your pay processes.
- Tell the business while you are still on site
- Ask them to note your actual finish time so it is captured in their review
- Confirm before you go that they have it
If you have already left
Contact us as soon as you can. The sooner you flag it, the better the chance it is addressed before your pay processes. Include:
- The shift code (the 6-character code shown with your shift)
- The date you worked
- The time you actually finished
We will raise it with the business for review. If the business confirms a different finish time, your pay is updated to match.
What we cannot do
We are not able to change your recorded times on request. The business validates the hours on every shift, so a change only happens once they confirm it. That is not the fastest answer, but it is the honest one, and it is what keeps hours accurate for everyone working on the platform.
How to avoid it next time
- Keep your phone charged during shifts
- Clock out in the app before you leave the venue
- If the app will not cooperate, message the business through the in-app messenger while you are still on site. A message timestamped at the venue is the strongest record you can create for yourself.
