If a shift you were scheduled for is no longer showing in your My Shifts tab, there are a few reasons this can happen. Here’s how to figure out what’s going on.
The Business Cancelled the Shift
Sometimes a business needs to cancel a shift entirely. When this happens, the shift is removed from every talent’s schedule — it’s not specific to you. You should receive a notification when a shift is cancelled, but occasionally notifications can be delayed.
What to do: Check Open Shifts for new opportunities in your area. There’s no penalty to you when a business cancels.
The Business Removed You From the Shift
A business can remove a specific talent from a shift. This usually happens when they need to adjust their staffing or make a change to the team for that shift. You should receive a “Removed From Shift” notification.
What to do: Check your notifications for details. If you didn’t receive any notification and aren’t sure why you were removed, contact our support team and we’ll look into it.
You May Have Accidentally Cancelled
It’s possible to accidentally tap Cancel My Shift in the app. The app asks you to confirm first, so read the prompt before tapping. If this happened, the shift would disappear from your schedule.
What to do: A cancellation cannot be undone, by you or by support. If you cancelled a shift you were hired for within 24 hours of its start, it counts as a late cancellation and the standard suspension applies, even if it was a mistake. Check if the shift is still showing in Open Shifts. If it is, you can re-apply. If the spot has already been filled, it belongs to the person the business hired, and we cannot move them to make room. If a documented emergency was involved, see Understanding Account Suspensions and How to Resolve Them.
You Didn’t Confirm in Time
Once you’re hired for a shift, you need to confirm you’re coming. The Confirm button turns on four days before the shift, and your shift card shows the exact date and time to confirm by. If you don’t confirm before that deadline passes, you’re automatically removed from the shift and it may be offered to someone else.
What to do: Make sure your push notifications are turned on so you don’t miss confirmation requests. In My Shifts, a banner at the top of the screen counts anything waiting on you and the View button takes you straight to it. Check Open Shifts to find new opportunities.
Check How Far the Shift Actually Got
In My Shifts, every shift card carries a progress tracker: Applied → Selected → Hired → Confirmed. It is worth knowing how far a shift got before it went away.
Selected is not the same as hired. If a business selected you and you never tapped Accept, you were never on the schedule for that shift, and you would not have been able to clock in even if you had shown up. Always tap Accept as soon as you see it.
Still Not Sure What Happened?
Contact our support team with the shift details (date, business name, or shift code if you have it) and we’ll investigate.
