If your Croux account has been suspended, here's what you need to know about why it happened, how long it lasts, and what you can do.
Why Was My Account Suspended?
Accounts are typically suspended for:
- Late cancellation — Canceling a shift within 24 hours of the start time
- No-show — Not showing up for a shift you were scheduled to work
These policies exist to protect businesses who are counting on you, and to keep the platform fair for all talent.
How Long Does a Suspension Last?
Suspension length depends on your rank (based on completed shifts) and the situation.
Temporary Suspensions: Late Cancellations
Late cancellation suspensions are temporary. Your account will automatically be reactivated when the suspension period ends.
| Your Rank | Completed Shifts | Suspension Length |
|---|---|---|
| Rookie | 0-4 | 14 days |
| Recruit | 5-9 | 14 days |
| Adept | 10-29 | 14 days |
| Veteran | 30-79 | 7 days |
| Elite | 80-199 | 7 days |
| Pro | 200-499 | 7 days |
| Master | 500-999 | 7 days |
| Legend | 1000+ | 7 days |
Key point: Once you hit 30 completed shifts, late cancellation suspensions drop from 14 days to 7 days.
Permanent Suspensions: No-Shows and Repeat Offenses
Some suspensions are permanent and cannot be reversed.
| Situation | Suspension |
|---|---|
| No-show (marked by business) | Permanent suspension |
| First hire, cancels late, never completed a shift | 30 days |
| Prior late cancellation + no completed shifts | Permanent suspension |
Important: No-show suspensions are permanent and are not eligible for appeal. If a business marks you as a no-show, your account will be permanently suspended.
Can I Appeal a Suspension?
You can appeal a temporary suspension (late cancellation) if you believe it was made in error. To start an appeal, contact us with:
- Your name and account email
- The shift details (date, time, business)
- What happened and any proof you have
We'll review your case and reach out to the business if needed.
What cannot be appealed: Permanent suspensions resulting from no-shows or repeated late cancellations with no completed shifts are final and cannot be reversed.
How to Avoid Suspensions
- Don't cancel within 24 hours — If something comes up, try to cancel as early as possible
- Always show up — If you're scheduled, be there
- Communicate — If there's an emergency, cancel in the app and let us know immediately
- Clock in — Make sure you clock in when you arrive so there's no confusion about your attendance
When Does My Suspension End?
For temporary suspensions, your account will automatically be reactivated when your suspension period ends. You'll be able to apply for shifts again at that point.
For permanent suspensions, your account will not be reactivated. If you believe there has been a mistake, reach out to our support team.
