Yes, you can work multiple shifts in the same day on Croux. Here's what you need to know to make it work.
The Basics
- You can apply for and work multiple shifts on the same day
- There's no limit set by Croux—it depends on your availability and the shifts posted
- Each shift is independent (separate clock-in, clock-out, and payment)
Tips for Back-to-Back Shifts
Leave enough buffer time
When planning multiple shifts:
- Account for travel time between locations
- Leave at least 30-60 minutes between shifts if they're at different venues
- Remember: you need to clock out of one shift before you can clock into the next
Check the locations
Make sure you can realistically get from one shift to the next. Croux shows the venue address in the shift details—plan your route in advance.
Communicate if you're running late
If your first shift runs over and you'll be late to your second shift:
- Message the second business through the app as soon as you know
- Let them know your estimated arrival time
- If you can't make it, cancel in the app right away. Cancelling is always better than a no-show, but cancelling inside 24 hours of the start is a late cancellation: it carries a temporary suspension that also removes you from other shifts booked during that period, and support cannot waive it. Only stack shifts you are sure you can reach on time
What to Watch Out For
Overlapping shifts
The app will warn you if you try to apply for shifts that overlap in time. If you're already booked for a shift, you generally can't apply for another that conflicts.
Fatigue
Working doubles or back-to-back shifts can be tiring. Make sure you're rested enough to perform well—businesses rate you after each shift, and your Trust Score matters.
Different dress codes
If your shifts are at different venues, check if they have different uniform requirements. You may need to bring a change of clothes.
