When a worker doesn't show up for a scheduled shift, here's what to do and what happens next.
π Immediate Steps
- Check your notifications β The worker may have sent a last-minute cancellation
- Try to contact the worker β Sometimes there are GPS or app issues preventing clock-in
- Request a replacement β Use Auto-Fill or post an urgent shift to find coverage
β How to Report a No-Show
If a worker genuinely didn't show up:
- Go to Timesheets in your dashboard
- Find the worker's timesheet
- Tap Report No-Show
- Confirm and leave a rating/note explaining what happened
What if they showed up late? Don't mark them as a no-show. Instead, adjust their clock-in time to reflect when they actually arrived.
π€ What Happens to the Worker
No-shows are taken seriously on Croux:
- The worker's Trust Score drops significantly
- Their payment is placed on hold until the situation is resolved
- A no-show results in permanent suspension from the platform β enforced on the first offense
- Croux tracks no-show patterns across the platform
π± What Happens to Your Bill
You are not charged for no-shows. Billing is based on actual hours worked β if a worker doesn't clock in, you don't pay.
