Why Confirmation Matters
After a business hires you for a shift, you'll need to confirm that you're coming. Confirming:
- Lets the business know you're committed
- Keeps the shift on your schedule
- Builds trust with businesses — so they're more likely to hire you again
When to Confirm — The 96-Hour Window
We've updated the shift confirmation process to give you more advance notice. Your confirmation window now opens 96 hours (4 days) before your shift starts, giving you more time to confirm you'll be there.
Reminder timing:
- 96 hours before — window opens (first reminder)
- 72 hours before — second reminder
- 52 hours before — third reminder
- 49 hours before — final reminder
If you don't confirm by the 48-hour mark, your spot will be released so the business can find a replacement.
Good to know: If you accept a shift within 96 hours of the start time, you're automatically confirmed at the time of acceptance.
How to Confirm
- Open the Croux app
- Go to My Shifts — shifts that still need action show a Confirmation needed tag
- Tap the shift to open its details. The banner at the top shows your exact confirm-by deadline
- Tap Confirm
Once confirmed, your shift shows a Confirmed status:
Missed the Window? You Can Rejoin
If you're automatically removed at the 48-hour mark, you're not out of luck. We'll send you a notification right away:
From there, you have two options:
- If the shift is still open: add yourself back directly from the Shift Details screen by tapping Add Me Back.
- If the shift has already been filled: you can join as an alternate, and we'll notify you if a spot opens up.
You can rejoin anytime the seat is still open — the only exception is if your account is suspended. The business is notified the moment your spot reopens, so they can bring you right back.
Will I Be Penalized?
Being automatically removed at the 48-hour mark for not confirming does not count against you — you can rejoin or join as an alternate. The standard cancellation policy still applies if you cancel within 24 hours of the shift, so confirm or cancel as early as your plans allow.
What If I Can't Make It?
Cancel as early as possible so the business can find a replacement. Don't just skip confirming — actively cancel to protect your Trust Score.
