Your profile picture helps businesses recognize you when you arrive for shifts, and a clear, current photo helps you stand out to businesses.
How to Change Your Profile Picture
You can now update your photo yourself, right in the app:
- Open the Croux app and go to the More tab (or open My Profile)
- Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen
- Your photo opens in a larger view. Tap Change Photo
- Take your new photo, and you're set
This is a live photo you take right in the app with your camera, not a saved image from your library, so be ready to snap it in the moment.
Your new photo takes effect immediately, everywhere your profile appears.
Keep It You
To keep accounts secure, we automatically check that your new photo matches the person on the account. If the new photo appears to be a different person, we'll revert to your previous photo. This protects you, and it protects the businesses who count on knowing exactly who's showing up.
Tips for a Great Profile Photo
- Use a clear, recent photo — Businesses use this to identify you
- Show your face clearly — No sunglasses, hats, or filters (this also helps the photo check go smoothly)
- Professional appearance — Dress as you would for a shift
- Good lighting — Make sure your face is well-lit and visible
