If a shift you applied for shows as “withdrawn” or disappeared from your My Shifts tab, here’s what to know and how to fix it.
Why Does This Happen?
Shift withdrawals typically happen when:
- You accidentally tapped “Withdraw” — It’s easy to tap by mistake. The app does ask you to confirm, but it can happen quickly.
- The business cancelled or modified the shift — When a business makes changes, your application may be affected.
- The shift was filled — If all spots were taken before your application was reviewed, it may show as withdrawn.
I Accidentally Withdrew — Can I Get Back On?
Yes, if the shift is still open. Go to Open Shifts in the app and look for the same shift. If it’s still listed, you can re-apply right away.
Keep in mind that re-applying puts you back at the start of the process. In My Shifts, each shift card shows a progress tracker — Applied → Selected → Hired → Confirmed — so you can see exactly where you stand.
If the shift is no longer showing in Open Shifts, it has been filled or removed. The spot belongs to whoever the business hired, and support cannot move them to make room for you. If you think you withdrew by mistake and the shift is still open, re-apply; that is faster than contacting us.
Will This Affect My Account?
No. Withdrawing from a shift you applied to does not affect your trust score or standing. The same goes while you are Selected: the app asks you to accept or withdraw, and withdrawing at that point is not a cancellation, because you are not on the schedule until you tap Accept. Penalties only apply when you cancel a shift you’ve already been hired and confirmed for.
Prevent Accidental Withdrawals
- Double-check before tapping buttons on the shift detail screen
- The “Withdraw” button always asks you to confirm — take a moment to read before tapping
